Latin-American Historical Almanac

The article focuses on the problem of the relations between Great Britain and Brazil during three centuries. Author shows in short sketch the history of the origins of these relations in the colonial epoch, the formation of the economic dependence of Brazil on Great Britain in XIX c., the decline of the British influence on the Brazilian politics and economics in XX c. Some pages contain the material of cultural exchange between both countries.
