1968 FROM LATIN AMERICA
The sixties opened an experience of political radicalism shared on a universal scale for the first time. Communist, capitalist and third-world countries underwent a set of worker and student strikes, while the youth were leading a revolution in customs and daily life. The studies of the '68 in Latin American, or rather a '68 interpreted from Latin America, reveals that far from being a movement with a european epicenter, these interconnected experiences had a need of differentiation. It exposes that beyond the solidarity between them, the sixties movements used to put special emphasis on showing their specificity, on avoiding all kinds of imitation and that the national framework functioned, in some way, as the final modeler of that experience '68.
